Description:Since 1850, a sturdy lighthouse has marked windblown Baccaro Point. The point is one of the major headlands of the South Shore, so it's one of the best places in Nova Scotia to view birds normally seen only by boat - including northern gannets, jaegers and sooty shearwaters. There are also panoramic views east to the Salvages Lighthouse and West to Nova Scotia's tallest light at Cape Sable.
